Building a Fall Capsule with Bernice (@sewbee73)
Bernice’s goal for her fall sewing is to create a mini capsule of wear-to-work looks. As a jumping-off point, she selected this striking linen blend print to create a dress in her favorite jewel-toned palette. We helped her find the perfect cotton bottom weight to pair with it for a cropped layering trench. Both pieces will be perfect additions to her mini capsule as she continues to add more pants and blouses for easy mixing and matching!

Fabrics: Botanical Floral Linen Blend Shirting and Crinkle Cotton Bottom Weight
Patterns: Atelier Jupe’s Olivia Dress and Grainline Studio’s Cortland Trench

Luxe Knit Favorites with Alexis (@myysweetsunshine)
Stylish fall trousers aren’t just for suitings and bottom weights, comfy knits work too! As soon as Alexis saw this soft, drapey scuba knit, she knew what pants pattern she had to make. And paired with a fitted long-sleeve tee, she has a put-together autumn look that is like wearing secret pajamas. And the best part? No one will know just how comfy these pieces are. P.S. Alexis already has another color on the way for a second pair!

Fabrics: Subtle Rib Knit and Rayon Scuba Double Knit
Patterns: Chalk & Notch’s Tess Top and Fiber Mood’s Arya Trousers

Autumn Versatility with Jessica (@jessicawaldeger)
With the goal of versatility in mind, Jessica wanted to add more solid separates to her me-made wardrobe, and this casual top and flowy pants are just the ticket. Not only do they pair perfectly together, but they will also coordinate with lots of other options already in her closet. She finished off her look by sewing a stunning headscarf to tie everything together with a pop of print. Add in the matching bag and gorgeous autumn background, and Jessica was ready for her close-up. Wow!

Fabrics: Designer Silk Crepe, Cross Weave Yarn Dye Linen Shirting, and Vine Floral Digital Print Rayon Sateen
Patterns: Sew House Seven’s Revel Topper, Sew Liberated’s Chanterelle Pants, and Spaghetti Western Sewing’s Pearl Head Scarf

Sneaky Separates with Mie (@sewinglikemad)
Mie approached her fall outfit, leading with fabric! This gorgeous tonal double gauze immediately caught her eye, and she knew that was the one. In considering pattern options to pair with it, she quickly selected the Ivie Dress & Two-Piece Set as the perfect choice. To give her fall outfit more wearable options, she opted for a matching two-piece set, allowing her to wear them together for a “dress” look or as a separate top or skirt with numerous other me-made pieces. A win, win, win!

Fabric: Tonal Yarn Dyed Gingham Double Gauze
Pattern: Chalk & Notch’s Ivie Two-Piece Set (or Dress)
